The aim of this project is to gain insight into how performing complex tasks (in our case solving a maze) depends on our physical properties, like the length or strength of our limbs. We will investigate how these attributes correlate with our decisions while we perform tasks. We also try to decipher how different brain areas might contribute to this process by using magnetic stimulation (TMS).

You will be asked to perform a maze solving task on a large touch screen. On the first experimental day, you will be equipped with electroencephalography (EEG) to measure your brain activity and sensors to record the movement of your arm. On the subsequent days, we will use transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) to briefly interrupt activity in different areas of your brain while you are performing the task.

The experiment will be performed over five days, which will have at least a week in between.
The duration of each day will be approximately 3.5-4 hours. On each of the TMS days, we will apply stimulation to a different brain area.
Each day, the preparations will take approximately 30-45 minutes. This includes setting up an EEG cap (day 1), or to determine the individual brain stimulation settings.
The experiment itself will last 90-120 minutes, including introduction to the task.
